About
Department of Business Administration, the largest department of the university, is committed to producing graduates with analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. We offer a curriculum that starts with fundamental business and entrepreneurial courses but eventually exposes students to a variety of disciplines such as literature, history, and science. Besides the courses related to business concentrations such as Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Human Resource Management, the students can select courses from sustainable development, media studies, computer science, and English. They will have the opportunity to learn these courses from academics who studied in globally renowned universities.
We are aware of our role in nurturing young minds so that they can contribute towards the socio-economic prosperity of our nation. We really do practice what we teach. We teach our students that business is about helping others; about helping each person we meet while being happier, healthier, and more productive. We take pride in helping our students learn what they need to know in order to become leaders, to lead a productive life, to become happier individuals, to form happier and healthier families, to build wealthier communities, and to make the world a better, safer place to live.

Why Study Business at ULAB
We are the largest department of the university. We offer a curriculum that starts with fundamental business and entrepreneurial courses but eventually exposes students to a variety of disciplines such as literature, history and science. Besides the courses related to business concentrations such as Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Human Resource Management, the students can select courses from sustainable development, media studies, computer science, and English. They will have the opportunity to learn these courses from academics who studied in the globally renowned universities.
We emphasize the role of individuals and their responsibility to help other individuals solve problems; to make life safer and more comfortable for each other. We use “OUR BUSINESS PROCESS MODELS” for this purpose. As a result, our USB students learn that we are only entitled to benefits (i.e., payments, salaries, profits, bonuses, rewards of all kinds) on the basis of the “value” that we add and are able to deliver to others.
We teach our students that the organizations we serve (and that serve us) exist for the sole purpose of helping us improve the quality of our lives. We believe and our students understand that every organization has a totally unique purpose – we call it a Policy Objective. The policy objective is conceived by an organization’s passionately committed owners or sponsors and can only be implemented by other equally passionate and committed individuals. We teach our students the importance of passion in everything they do.
As a consequence of your time with us, you will learn that business is really not about profit. Rather, doing business is all about helping each other and about being helped. It’s about giving, getting, and enjoying rewards according to the value we’ve been able to add at every stage of the Business Process.

Academic Programs & Curriculum
We offer the following programs:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
Our Curriculum aims to empower students to learn and practice modern business and management concepts, principles, tools, techniques, models and methods: to have skills and knowledge to become business leaders and entrepreneurs.
Business students will, hopefully, not be defined only by the particular management functional area they choose as their concentration. Our aim is to strike a balance between liberal arts and business courses, realizing the relevance of each. They shall gain the highest skills in the field of business while, at the same time, attaining an appreciation of the fundamentals of the broader social environment within which all business decisions are made.
Market Driven Curriculum
We revise our curriculum based on the industry trends to keep our students aware of the latest business developments.
Global Insights
We incorporate both global and local case studies in our curriculum to help students understand local as well as global perspectives while analyzing business scenarios.
Active Teaching and Learning
We strongly believe in active teaching and learning. Therefore, our students’ learning is not limited to classroom teaching. They develop professional skills beyond the classroom through active participation in different clubs, seminars, workshops, and competitions.
Industry Seminars
As part of our curriculum, to promote first-hand interaction with Industry leaders in banking, international NGOs, and corporations, students participate in a wide range of seminars organized by ULAB.
Faculty with Industry experience
To assist business students with the curriculum, we have distinguished faculties who have studied in the globally renowned universities with years of corporate experience.
