Mr. Shajedul Alam is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business. He has more than thirteen years of teaching experience at university level in full time positions and four years in adjunct positions. He has done MSS from the department of International Relation, University of Dhaka and after that did his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.
He started his career as a faculty in the BRAC-IBM ACE in 2001. After two years he moved to the corporate sector. He was the Center Head in Information Technology Solutions (ITS), an Indian IT solutions company and worked as the Advisor, Finance and Planning at BBJ Leather Goods Ltd., a joint venture company between Bangladesh and Japan.
His teaching area is Accounting and Mathematics. He usually teaches Principles of Accounting, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting and Mathematics for Decision Making at the undergraduate level. In the Masters level he teaches Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. Apart from teaching he has been working as the advisor of the ULAB Business Club from 2011 to 2016. Since 2016 he is the advisor of ULAB Shangskriti Shangshad (The cultural club). He has arranged many workshops, industrial tours, trainings, seminars and programs for students. He was in the organizing team for the international conference “Rivers and Religion” organized by ULAB and for many other national events.
He has received the ULAB Vice-chancellor’s award in 2015 under the category Service to Students.
He has participated in numerous workshops and trainings organized by ULAB and USB.
