Professor Imran Rahman is the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of ULAB School of Business. He oversees two key research centers - Center for Sustainable Develoment and Center for Enterprise and Society - and leads the university's international collaborations. He works closely with ULAB's Vice Chancellor on strategic and policy issues. He joined ULAB in 2006 and has served as the Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Dean of Business.
He was a faculty member of the Institute for Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University from 1984 to 2009.
He co-founded and managed a merchant bank in Dhaka for about six years.
