Niaz Morshed Patwary is an Assistant Professor . He primarily teaches Entrepreneurship and Strategy courses to BBA and MBA students. He is currently the Advisor of ULAB Business Club.
Niaz is also the co-founder and COO of Microtech Interactive, an technology start-up. Bino (www.ilovebino.com), one of his education technology project, won National Award of Government of Bangladesh as best mobile application, BASIS best startup award and was selected as a global top ten impact startup in SLUSH, Finland in 2018.
Niaz has been active in academia for past ten years and have taught at ULAB, NSU and BRAC University.
He taught at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia as an Australian Award Endeavour Fellow. In 2015, He was the recipient of the British Government’s Commonwealth Fellowship and taught at Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland. As the first Kiva Fellow from Bangladesh, He served in rural India in 2014. Earlier, he was awarded the Higher Education and Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) grant – joint project of The World Bank and University Grant Commission. In 2011, he was a visiting scholar in HEC Paris, France.
Prior to joining academia, he worked for Ernst & Young, USA. he received his MBA in Strategy from Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) on a full scholarship. He graduated magna cum laude from Southwest Minnesota State University with valedictorian nomination, where he double majored in Computer Science and Business Administration.
