Rafsan Jani & Salvir Rahman Ratul Crowned Champions at Earth Day 2026 - Green Shift Challenge

On April 20, 2026, the Earth Day - Green Shift Challenge, organized by the ULAB Business Club, provided an exciting platform for ULAB students to showcase their creativity, innovation, and commitment to building a more sustainable campus. The achievements of the participating students were highlighted through three outstanding projects:

Champion – Rafsan Jani & Salvir Rahman Ratul
The champions impressed the competition with their innovative project, “Smart Thermoelectric Air-Conditioning.” Their project demonstrated how innovative technology can be explored to improve energy efficiency and promote more sustainable cooling solutions.

First Runner-Up – Zarah Farial, Ramisha Bint Azad & Rahim Hossain
The first runner-up team presented a forward-looking proposal on “Transforming High-Emission Campus Activities into Clean, Efficient, and Sustainable Systems.” Their work showcased a strong understanding of sustainable campus development and proposed practical ways to reduce environmental impact.

Second Runner-Up – Anika Raisa Hridi
Anika Raisa Hridi earned second runner-up for her Smart Energy Optimization System, an innovative concept designed to minimize electricity wastage and encourage more efficient energy consumption across the campus.
